Nimue's Atrium January 9th is the Wolf Moon according to the Witch's Almanac. We are well into winter and the snow is deep. The window panes are etched with the frost fairy's touch. All is still and appears to sleep as we gather around the hearth fire and listen to stories. Well at least I keep this image in my mind at this time of year. "Silent Snow Lies Deep" Silent snow lies deep 'round the castle walls and darkly shadowed gardens where I once walked long ago. A single rose encased in ice shines in the moonlight, the only witness in the night. I remember I once pressed it to my lips, and felt its perfumed petals. plucked from that urn that is fallen in the dry and brittle ivy. The moon, like a pearl gleams on the silent scene. a moment frozen, captured- "a crystalline dream." Silent snow lies deep round the castle walls and the garden well where I once wished long ago. And threw my locket to fall down and down In the dark water. It is there still the moon's fingers of light reach softly below to clasp it in a silver caress. Silent snow lies deep In the distance a wolf's howl.. it drifts and sighs 'round the castle walls like winter wind. Maybe to awaken spirits that dream by the well and waltz by the fallen rose. A red dress once worn with silken gloves sewn with seed pearls like the moon now casting the wolf's tall shadow against the castle wall where silent snow lies deep. |

Shapeshifting is a magical way to balance mind, body and spirit. You can perform this exercise outside or at the gym on the treadmill. Become one with her powerful form as you run faster now in pursuit of your prey. You can see the gazelle bounding, springing high into the air. Run, breathing deeply into the belly! |
